Caritela (a smaller variety of the Calesa)

This was one of the modes of transportation introduced in the Philippines by the Spanish colonizers back in the 18th century. Only high-ranking officials and noblemen could ever afford to have them in their stable.

Today, they roam the streets of Roxas Boulevard, Manila as a tourist attraction.
